Partners in Action

The Helical Group is contributing to "Partners in Action", a programme run by the United Nations System Staff College and The Partnering Initiative, a collaboration between the Prince of Wales International Business Leaders Forum and the University of Cambridge Programme for Industry, to build UN capacity for effective partnering.

Business-NGO biodiversity partnership agreement

The Helical Group has helped Anglo American (AA) and Fauna & Flora International structure a strategic partnership agreeement based on assessing and managing the biodiversity impacts and opportunities of AA's global mining operations.

Community development framework for operational and supply chain management

The Helical Group (HG) is collaborating with the international India-based social development charity Hand-in-Hand (HiI) to offer global corporations a framework for managing operational and supply chain socio-economic risks based on HiH's integrated community empowerment model and HG's business-NGO-government partnership model.

Assessing agricultural greenhouse gas emissions

The Helical Group is developing an applied version of IPCC (International Panel on Climate Change) methodology to assess the greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from a large (10,000ha) agricultural and rural estate in South West England, UK, and the potential contribution of farming, forestry and rural land uses to the sequestration of GHGs and the mitigation of climate change.

Socio-economic/environmental impact model for the agricultural sector

The Helical Group has developed a methodology for British American Tobacco to examine the economic, social and environmental impacts of worldwide tobacco leaf growing operations, which is used by the Company as a component of strategy development.
